Britain's leader plans to press partner nations to deliver Ukrainian forces with further advanced missile systems to target Moscow's positions during discussions in London on this Friday.

The prime minister will host Ukraine's leader Zelensky alongside what's known as "alliance of supportive nations", comprising more than 20 of Ukraine's allies who have agreed to offer the Ukrainian government protection commitments once hostilities pause is brokered.

Ukraine's president has been pleading for several weeks for further long-range weapons from the West, a move that the Russian government has warned would worsen the hostilities.
